Come
bass fishing with me in the Everglades aboard the JUNEBUG.
My aim as a bass fishing guide is to show my clients that bass fishing can
be fun and simple or, if they so desire, intense and technical (which is
also fun).
During
the season the everglades offers many opportunities to learn and explore
a variety of techniques for catching our most popular game fish.
As a rule it is a numbers game in the ‘glades - but, there can
also be a quality bite (fish in the 4 to 6 lb range). I teach techniques
if you are interested. My specialty is fishing with plastic frogs which
rouse exciting surface strikes when the bite is on. We caught more
than 200 bass over 5 pounds during a 70 day period in the spring of
2007. These were all caught using plastic frogs aboard our “JUNEBUG”
(18’6” Nitro bass boat with a Mercury Optimax engine).
My rates are $225 for 1/2 day and $350 for a full day. This includes cold drinks and drinking water, plus a few snacks like jerky, chips, etc. I carry sunscreen and insect replellent just in case you have forgotten it. My equipment is top of the line: Loomis, All Star and St. Croix fishing rods with Shimano, Garcia, and Zebco reels. We strive to fit you to the tackle with which you are most comfortable. This adds confidence which helps you to catch more fish and makes your time in the Everglades even more enjoyable.
The JUNEBUG is a catch and release boat . if you wish to kill a fish please discuss it with me beforehand.
Many of our customers want to visit the everglades for bird and wildlife
watching and photography. Often, one person is an avid bass
angler and their partner will simply want to observe and photograph the
flora and fauna. We are happy to accomodate both.
We
welcome bird watchers, naturalists, photographers, and people who
simply want to experience this rare ecosystem. You will be shown
the best areas for opportunities to see 'up-close and personal'
(and safely) the denizens of our 'glades.
On all of our charters, there will be a digital camera available if you have forgotten yours. We will be happy to email you pictures free of charge. Just don't drop the camera overboard please. The alligators might eat it!
For those who just want to experience the everglades,
here are a few of my glades photos.

Check out this site. It belongs
to my friend Bill Roberts. We work as a team when we have too many people for one boat.
